GUN Attn: People with ciener kits

    the instructions say to run high velocity round nose ammo.

    1. why can i not use hollow point
    2. what will happen if i use hp?

    sounds like they probably won't feed correctly

    in the reviews on midway someone said they run hp without a problem :dunoo:

    You can give it a try. It's probably just that round points will feed more effectively and be less prone to jamming.

    i bought some remington golden rounds to try out with my federals. i'll see which one i get better performance out of

    if you get low velocity you may not have enough power to cycle the action. I know subsonic rounds usually dont get ejected.

    I had a few problems with mine and found that polishing the rails and feed ramp and cleaning the mags and the thing runs like a top! It just have easily had 3000 rounds through it before cleaning

    I had a spikes dedicated .22 upper. It's based on the ciener design. It fired hollow-point rounds just fine. I never tried low-recoil or colibri types of ammunition.

    HPs feed in my CMMG kit no problem. I just run the Federal bulk stuff.

    HP is no problem. and you could probably even get it to cycle on standard velocity ammo.

    I shot CB shorts out of it, but it didn't cycle at all. Its funny to hear the clack of the target being louder than the sound of the gun.
