I just bought an 88 accord dx for $550, but there are a few problems with it. I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice, and I was also wanting to know about any honda message boards.

    problems:

seat belt chime and light come on even when the belt is on, this gets annoying and it won't stop

rattling sound when accelerating, especially while turning (CV shafts?)

that's about it, any help is appreciated

For the seat belt, check the wiring under the seat that it is connected or the switch inside the belt latch is working.

if its a "clicking" noise, its a worn cv boot. look behind the wheel for black grease.

if its a rattling sound, it might be a loose heatshield.

yeah, it's definitely a clicking sound. if the boot is torn, I have to replace the whole shaft right?
