So, the 2008 model year is here early. Dealers in my area already have orders shipping and they should be in very shortly. :noes:

There's a couple of new models this year. The Rocker / Rocker C & the Fat Bob. And some new colors...including the 105th anniversary colors. :naughty: Plus a couple of new options this year...Anti-Lock Brakes, new Independent Drive System on the touring models (supposed to make the ride smoother)...

    Anyway, here's the pics.

Rocker - They look almost like a chopper to me:

Rocker C - I really don't like how the seat is on these:

    Fat Bob:

Only 3 models of V-rods this year. VRSCAW, Night Rod and Night Rod Special. Here's a VRSCAW in anniversary colors:

They changed the tanks on all the 1200 sportsers (except the nightster) to be the round ugly (to me anyways) tank:

And like I said, some new colors. I'm not a fan of the denim colors, but here's a Street Bob in Crimson Red Demin:

And another Streetbob in a two tone denim:

Street Glide in Dark Blue Pearl:

Heritage Classic in Dark Blue Pearl:

Road King in a 2 tone red (I think it's pretty sharp):

Fat Boy in Candy Red Sunglo:

Softail in two tone pacific blue and vivid black:

And an Ultra in anniversary colors (copper pearl and vivid black). Mine is on order and is shipping on the 23rd :bigthumb::

As for Screamin Eagle models -

    SE Dyna:

    SE Springer:

    SE Road King:

And finally the SE Ultra in anniversary colors. Looks awesome, if you ask me:

Yeah, I think they're pretty cool. I just can't get over the passenger seat on the C model. But other than that, they look like a sweet ride. :bigthumb:

Not the best year for Harley and what's this with "105th anniversary colors"? Marketing bullshit. Let's wait more than 5 years for an "anniversary special".

Holy shit on the Rocker - love the engine color. Didn't think Harley had it in them to do that. Might have to pick up a Nightster this year :coold:

Yeah, no doubt it's all about marketing and making money. But they usually do something special every 5 years. They had a 90th, 95th, and 100th anniversary too.

The ones this year are limited edition, serialized. They'll have plaques on them saying xxx out of xxx. :dunno: It's getting my money though. :o

Though, that seat looks like it just might launch off the passenger if you hit a bump. :x:

The bitch seat on the Rocker C folds up and goes under the seat. It looks a lot better like that.

Although this one looks a bit too much like my BBC for my personal comfort:

The VRSC line-up being pared down is a good thing. There were too many last year.

And as an owner of a Harley with denim paint, I'll gladly say it's the greatest thing ever. Cleaning your bike with windex in 5 minutes is awesome.

Ahh, I didn't realize the seat did that. That's pretty awesome! There's an animation of it on the HD site. Pretty cool.

As far as the denim goes, I don't know anyone that has one so I didn't know how they were to clean. I just like shiney stuff :o.

Yeah, I am pretty big on the Street Glides. I think they need to come down a little on price though. They are too close to the Ultras and you get so much more with the Ultras that it's hard to justify the purchase.

I really like the rear end of the Street Glides. The different turn signals, the filler between the bags and the fender, the fender light, etc. But after adding everything on it I would want (tour pack, saddle bag guards, etc) I was over Ultra Classic prices. :hsd:

    So...I went with the Ultra.:hs:
