    Steak is the greatest food known to man, and making a super sick one is something not to be taken lightly.

    I've got a hot little steak waiting for me in my fridge, and I want to turn it into a NASTY LITTLE STEAK, if you know what I mean.

    What are your secrets? Do you use marinade? What do you use? What herbs and / or spices do you use? Before or after marinating? How do you grill it? Do you flip a lot or not so much? Do you throw some meat tenderizer on that bitch? How bout lemon juice?

    I'm not talking about 'oh yeah that was a good steak...'

    I WANT A SUPER FUCKING NASTY EMERIL LEGASSI COME CLOBBER ME FOR MY RECIPE THEN SUCK MY DICK WHILE I'M PASSED OUT STEAK. YOU HEAR ME?

    oven at 200-250 for 20-30 min depending on thickness and then sear on each side...

    salt/pepper/olive oil...sear on a VERY hot pan both sides (cast iron if you have one) then finish in the oven.

    unless you've got a crap steak I never saw the point of using marinades/herbs/etc...that stuff's for chicken and other bland meats.

    depends on the meat..

    for a sick filet mignon i won't use any seasonings or anything. i'll spray pam on the grill, sear that shit on high flame for like 30 seconds per side to lock the flavor in, then throw it on the top rack to cook so it doesn't get burned.

    for lower quality meat i will do a similiar thing but use some kind of sauce/seasoning and marinate it before.

    I usually cook NY strips.

    take out of fridge, put salt on both sides, let sit 10 minutes. Garlic powder on both sides, let sit 10 minutes. Crush peppercorns roughly (should be a lot bigger chunks than ground pepper) and press into all sides of steak. Let steak sit out another 20 minutes or so. Get grill hot. Put steak on grill. While steak is grilling, set a little cube of butter on it. When you flip it over, put a little cube on the other side. Cook to taste (better not be more than medium.) When it's about a minute from being done, put some blue cheese crumbles on it. Take it off and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Eat it. Delicious.

    A good cut of meat doesn't need anything more then salt and pepper.

    (I use kosher or sea salt and fresh ground black pepper)

    Real steaks aren't marinated....They don't need it.


    if you're making steaks with eye of round though, you're gonna want to soften that shit up

    Ribeye:

    Preheat oven to 500 degrees with your cast iron pan in it. While the oven is heating up:

    coat both sides in salt and pepper.

    When the oven heated up take the pan out and put it on the stove on high and let it get hotter.

    When it can't get any hotter, throw some canola oil on the steak, both side.

    Put the steak on the pan for 45 seconds each side.

    Immediately put the steak in the oven and cook for 2.5 minutes each side.

    remove and put the steak on a plate and cover in tin foil for a few minutes.


    Caution: Have every window in your house open and fans on... this will smoke like a mother fucker


    Eat.

    Skirt Steak


    Marinate a bunch of skirt steak in italian dressing for an hour or two.

    Put on grill and cook for about 5 minutes per side.

    take off grill, cover in tin foil for a few and eat.
