Hey, do you have that article stored somewhere. I had the link, but it's dead. I really liked the article and now it's gone. :hs:

The soul is a chemical reaction. Humans are atoms. I am not sure how these reductions are useful

What I mean is that IMO people tend to try to dampen the feelings that they get from love because in some way it isn't "real" - seeing as it's a drug. This doesn't work for me because logically there is no reduction. My soul is a chemical reaction and a certain chemical reaction creates a soul. This doesn't make either the soul or the chemical reaction less "real."

Which article? The only one I can think of was the one I linked to in this long post:

    http://forums.offtopic.com/showpost.php?p=80436524&postcount=8

And that article was here, but it was only about the chemicals of monogamy and not about love in general:

I may have linked to another article at some point but I don't remember.

edit - or were you talking about this one:

i dont think anyone said that it being a chemical reaction makes it "less real." its just interesting to know what causes the sensation, imo.

Well, I for one, like explanations for things just because that's how I work. I'm pretty much an emotional wreck over everything and I've ALWAYS been that way. I like to blame it on my astrological sign...but who knows. I'm just super sensitive...and maybe it's my brain chemistry or something.
