I want another completely open-world RPG set in mythical medieval times to suck me in for another 100+ hours :wtc:

There's that article but that was in 2008...

I'm almost willing to bet they postponed TES V because they hadn't expected FO3 to make so much money so they pushed back plans for TES V so that they can help Obsidian develop FO: Vegas:hs:

I agree that would be awesome but I don't have money to pay for an mmo :wtc:

The giant landscape that is Oblivion gets lonely when your only companion is a horse:hs:

A few things need to change from oblivion to satisfy me

    1. Change the way you control your character, give us a 3rd person view option that doesn't really suck
    2. Get a real leveling system damnit, with experience like it's supposed to be
    3. Don't make skills such an incredibly huge pain in the ass to gain

I'm fine with #1 changing as long as you still have to aim at the person. As much as I love Dragon age, Oblivion doesn't work like dungeons & dragons in the form of a video game (basically random and percentages of how much damage each hit does). If you don't get to aim at your target it changes from what the elderscrolls is :hs:

Yeah, it's not so much as the method by which you attack...just how it worked.

I always felt that no matter how long my blade was if my character's nose wasn't nearly touching the enemies then I wouldn't be able to hit them.

The mechanic is fine, as long as it is fixed up a bit.

I didn't like Dragon Age much, uninstalled it after maybe 15-20hrs. I might be hypocritical here because I absolutely loved ME1 and ME2 but Dragon Age you just spent way way way too much time talking to every stupid sucker you came across, reminded me of the novels worth of information every single npc had in neverwinter nights.

 Dragon age is the spiritual successor to neverwinter nights though so it would make sense that it transfers over:mamoru:

I remember someone posting something about how whenever you're fighting or walking around, it's just a short moment before the next 2 hour conversation. something like that.

I find it all interesting so I exhaust my dialogue options (wtf? chrome doesn't recognize dialogue as a correct word)

I'll forgive them for taking a break from Oblivion, because in the interim they published the awesomeness that was Fallout 3. :coold:

I loved everything about Fallout 3 but for some reason it still didn't net me as many playing hours as Oblivion ever did. I played over 100 hours in Oblivion before I even started the main storyline:bowdown::rofl:

As soon as I was out of the initial dungeon I stormed that world about as hardcore as a level 1 wood elf can possibly storm anything.

By the time I touched the storyline I was level 13... Bad idea because the game levels with you.

I restarted the story as an imperial and beat the game still at level 1.

I hope they make a new engine for V, I loved 4 and FO3 but that engine makes the game play so damned clunky.

Wipe everything off the board from above...

    Changes Elder Scrolls needs:
    1. Multiplayer option of some kind: Even if it's just arena fighting
    2. Bring back levitation for lulz
    3. Physics - Clothe should act like clothe, not a stiff board...
    4. Elements - Fire should burn through things...
    5. Better AI - Nothing sucks more than losing a quest necessary character because it wandered off in the wrong direction or failed to keep up with you.

NO. Don't fuck up the series by making it an MMO. I have no problem with Bethesda creating an MMO, but make it an offshoot of the original series, like what Square Enix is doing with FFXIV.

I kind of agree with this.

When I played Oblivion one of my very first impressions was:

    'How empty is this place?'.

I felt like an incredible amount of work had been put into making this place. The detail blew me away.
How fucking cool would it be to be riding a horse down one of those trails and have some stranger passing you in the opposite direction.

It felt like a waste to me.

I mean, the game wasn't a waste. But not having something approaching MMO within that space was.

The problem with MMO vs huge RPGs is a decent RPG turns into a super shitty MMO. Think about Oblivion, if you wanted the best X you could read a guide that had you sprint past some shit and grab it and now you have it. Now transfer that to mmo language, you have to suck 37 donkey dicks and be level 63 in order to even equip such a thing, plus oblivion was huge but the entire thing was probably 1/4 of the size of 1 continent on WoW. A decent MMO is hard to make.

Please, do not make an elder scrolls MMO. Thats the worst thing they could do.

Maybe some like 4 player co-op, but god no, not an MMO.

Make the game more deeper like Morrowind was and not so casual like Oblivion.

I just want Morrowind 2 w/ Diablo style multiplayer. I would never need another game for the rest of my life.

i want another oblivion too, game was great, but i played fallout a helluva lot longer.

    oblivion - 90 hours

    fallout 3 - 323 hours total (4 different playthroughs) :o\

but i always wished fallout had a multiplayer ability, like at least one person could join you, would of made the game feel less lonesome.
