My Pioneer 116D DVDRW is dying, now I need a new one. I haven't really been paying attention to the news/updates so I don't know what drives are the new hotness. Can someone recommend me a recent dvdrw that is reliable to burn XBOX 360 discs?

I have seen all the other OT team from time to time, haven't seen you post in ages though (not that I frequent the boards daily anyways)

If it really doesn't matter, I might just go to Newegg and order the DVDRW that has the most positive reviews... I just remember how it did make a difference.

There are no advantages of SATA over IDE, right? The only reason to go SATA is if you don't have IDE on your motherboard.. ?

Any Dual Layer burner will do. No matter how cheap.

    I love my 116d.

I would just read the reviews and look for a booktype setting. Stick with a name brand, and dont spend more than 30 bucks. Heck most of em cost like 20 bucks.

And buy 2 this time. I use 2 so that if one fails, im not out of the game for a second.
