yah, so i got this card about 2 months ago, just now get around to putting in the computer and i get the worse fps ever in cs... (most of the time its about 45-60 fps, but it fluctuates so much up and down that its almost unbearable to play). i've turned v-sync on/off, antialiasing on/off, anisostroping on/off. i dont know what else to try. i've also messed with the rates but still to no avail.

i've used multiple drivers: catalyst(multiple versions), omega, and rage3d. nothing has seemed to work so far and i dont know what else to do. any ideas?

    systems ive tried it on:
    a.
AMD K7T Turbo Limited (4x AGP)
    AMD 1.4 Thunderbird
    1280MB PC133 Mushkin SDRAM
    400 Watt Power Supply

    b.
Soyo Dragon Lite Ultra (4x AGP)
    P4 2.0 Celeron
    512MB 2700 Kingston DDR
    400 Watt Power Supply

    c.
    Abit NF7-S (8x AGP)
    AMD 2400XP
    1024MB 2700 Mushkin DDR
    350 Watt Power Supply

all 3 of these systems i pretty much get the same results, is it time to call ATI and try to get an RMA or am i just being a complete retard and doing something wrong? any help is appreciated :)

have you tried other games and gotten the same results? if so, its possibly a faulty card :dunno:

Most likely -- I have the same card and it works great!

Are you sure the game's in OpenGL rendering mode? And not something like software mode?

it must be the card. a bud of mine has a 128 mb version of same card, and it gets damned good fps in UT (like 300-400).

Should be on warrantee if it's only a few months old, just go fill out the RMA form.
