ill tell you guys all about it Saturday Night. He is gonna let us play with it. and shoot some undercards with it too. It feels good in the hands, feels a bit more robust than the mkii and the viewfinder seems bigger and brighter as well. :eek3: im hoping Neil Lifer shows up, cuz he will certainly have a d3s.

sorry guys it wont happen. its a respect issue. he is kind enough to let us play with it. im not going to take advantage of the situation. Thats not professional. i will tell you this, he shot the weighins today with it and feels there is some grain at 3200 more so than the original d3. he also said he thinks canon is afraid that nikon will win the iso performance war

I say nearly a stop better than mkiii in noise performance, but on par with d3/d700. With that being said it is also more MP. 102,400 is nearly useless. Colors are muddled, heavy NR and over sharpening. But this is pre-prod. good things are Focus is faster then mkiii and more accurate, colors are truer, and viewfinder is better.

also interestingly enough the mkiv sensor seems more sensitive then the mkiii. at 2500 f4 3.2 the mkiv exposue is a lil more then 1/3 of a stop brighter.

Its not that unusual. Supposedly the 7d is a little off too. The original 5D was as well. Additionally, my MkIII was always at a different setting for the same looking picture than my friends shooting MkIIs

And Nikon has won the iso war.

Post up pictures from the fight! Didnt I originally get you in touch with Ed through SS?

Al Bello, Chris Farina, Myself, and Ed Mulholland in the ring, taken with a remote mounted d300 and 14-24 2.8 on the lighting truss, just after putting the remote up. All three of those guys are my sports and boxing photog idols. I always learn so much by talking and working with them. November 13, 2009, MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Keep plugging away guys, be proactive, dont wait for it to come to you, go look for it. Hell, Im just faux 3rd shooter(celebrity duty) and Photoeditor/Assistant for Ed. However the last 3 events, i have had some of my stuff published on HBO :wiggle:

Everytime i help Ed, he trusts me more and more to do things, including shooting. Networking is everything, he trusts me enough to suggest me to others and praises me to others as well.

You wont be able to work these kinds of events without first going out of your way and putting in the time to find these opportunities.
