These seem to have nearly the same features, and yet the newer Tilt is cheaper. Is it older technology in a new package? Anyone have any experience with either one?

    Tilt FTW

but really, just go to the store and try them out.

also the Tilt is on a promo price since it was just released.

dont count on the camera much...

if the object isnt moving, its good. Otherwise its just a blur.
    the gps is  though

I got a tilt as a gift this weekend - and I have no idea how to use it :o

I had a little sony ericsson phone for like 3 years. IMO the user guide for the tilt is very small considering all of the features, I'm embarassed that I will need to find some kind of "tilt for dummies" tutorial.

Still it's the sexiest phone I've ever had, once I work out my stupidity I imagine that I'll want it tethered to my hand

synched with google calendar , just signed up @ rememberthemilk.com

Tilt, the 8525 will drop in price soon. Btw I had an 8525 and the camera was crap, I doubt that the 3 megapixel tilt is any better.

Doubt it will drop in price, just be phased out. They aren't selling at all now that the tilt is out

I have a Tilt and the GPS is a great feature. It really does nearly everything I'm looking for in a phone, so I can't complain too much about it. I'm really looking forward to Android coming out so I can put that that OS on the phone, as well.

I would spring for the Tilt unless price is REALLY that much of an issue and if that's the case, buy a used or refurbished 8525. Bottom line -- you should pay significantly less for the 8525 than you would for the new Tilt since the 8525 has been out for more than a year and the Tilt came out in October in the US.
