Hey all. My quest for weightloss is steadily improving, 68 lbs later, I can finally see my abs poking through. Problem is this: I'm down to 168~. Reason is that I went off to school, and won't allow myself to eat the fried shit in the dining halls. Instead, I've just been eating salads and wheat sandwiches. Problem is that I don't want to gain weight, and still run every day, so I am dropping weight too fast. What foods should I buy that will keep up my protein intake so I don't lose muscle (for my weight, I shouldn't have a gut anymore) anymore, and can still eat healthily? Here's the foods I've got right now:

Canned peaches (in extra light syrup)
14 cans of tuna (w/ relish and light mayo to make salad)
    Whole grain wheat bread
    Thomas C/R bagels
    Dill pickles
8 different kinds of those 100 calorie pack snacks
    Granola bars
Two sacks of medium grain rice (this is usually my food of choice after workouts)
    Fuckton of water
    Some popcorn (smart pop)
    4 bowls of campbell's chili

Anything I should change? The food here is so fucking expensive (in the mini mart I mean), so I don't want to go buying shit I won't eat or need). Also, any recommendations on an ab routine to help bring my abs through? All help is appreciated!

I can cook anything, actually. My friends make fun of me because I can cook better than their mothers :mamoru:

However, I don't have a stocked kitchen in my dorm obviously. Steel cut oats I presume? I don't really have a way of making anything stovetop (which is how I always cook them at home).

At my dorm there was a kitchen (until the damned resident assistant lady closed it down for being messy!). If they have one (I bet they have one on the bottom floor or something ...) bring a skillet, a few pans, and some utensils and you are set. It just sucks having to carry pans back up to your room every time you cook.

    They bant them :wtc:
Yea, the kitchenette here is the biggest shithole I've ever seen. The stove is covered in failed marinara sauce attempts, which only start bubbling and shit when you turn it on. I'll try to find me some oats and whey (no vitamin shoppe that I know of tho).

You just need the same foods all of us eat. Get a foreman. Actually in college its a lot easier to eat right.

    Chicken
    Lean steak
    lean ground beef
    whole wheat pasta
    sweet potatoes
    almonds
    cottage cheese
    natty pb
    whole wheat bread
    etc.. don't complicate it.

So clean up the kitchen and then type out a note saying that you cleaned the shit yourself and you expect it to stay that way, that whoever is dirtying it up is providing a major inconvenience to the whole building and if they can't keep the common areas clean, not to use them. Then sign the mother fucker clearly. I had a similar thing happen and most people around me liked me, so after I put the shit up, people started cleaning, no clue who did it to begin with, but the end result was all good. It wasn't at college though, so maybe I had more mature people around me, but regardless...

If your college bans kitchen electrics find something that you can easily hide, a foreman is one, but that means cleaning it as soon as you're done... look at the sunbeam rocket grill.. you gotta buy the parchment pouches but it makes cleanup so much easier.. or a toaster oven that you can throw into a box/cabinet/etc

Exactly. I did the same when they first threatened to close down our kitchen for being messy.

Be careful with any kind of cooking item in the dorm. A foreman can put out hella smoke and set off your smoke alarm. I know in my place that led to some sick ass fine like $500

:mamoru: I just bought a 12" electric skillet tonight. So far that's two banned items: first was the rice cooker, now this (although my RA doesn't give a fuck).
