do I just need to purchase the lower and assemble later at my leisure or do I have to have all of the parts purchased before the ban comes rolling through?

lower is the only serialized part. rest of the stuff doesn't matter.

Stripped lower and mags are all you'd really need to get right away. Upper prices shouldn't really be effected by a ban other then high demand from people snatching them up to do there builds.

Technically speaking, the parts have to be there before the ban.

In reality, it's kind of hard to prove what was or wasn't on it when the ban was enacted.

Like TL said, lower and >10rd mags are the most important things to snatch up now.

For the most part, AR lowers are created equal, find one with a logo you like and go with that.

They're all going to have a logo from whatever manufacturer finished them...:dunno:

Some are more noticable/gaudy than others. Most people won't notice or care what brand it is, too.

Most of the companies all have some sort of logos they put on them. Only a couple companies that don't stick logos on them. Superior Arms doesn't have any other then the name in big letters.

This is worth quoting. Taking a great leap and assuming that a new awb comes down and that its the same as the last, simply having a lower pre-man doesn't mean you can turn it into an "assault weapon" post ban. Only existing assault weapons were grandfathered. Almost impossible to prosecute but worth knowing.

EssentialArms is pretty low key as well.

Also, the older RRA lowers only said "Rock River Arms" on them and didn't have any logo.

The DPMS has a panther or puma or something. Stag has a deer, it looks kinda gay. The CMMG logo is just an AR. :dunno:

I like my CMMG, but the panther would probably be acceptable. :hs:

Rock River's logo is one of the few (on the lower end of the $$$ spectrum) that I didn't find meh.
