    My home state :wtc:

I hope this won't make it anywhere, but it's scary none the less.

This is the first run at bringing back the AWB state by state.

I live in Illinois. If this is even a possibility in Florida, it is probably a guarantee in Illinois.

Guess I'll be moving :wtc: Texas sounds nice :x:

only difference between this and San Fran's BS and the clinton AWB is that the AWB didn't require owners to GIVE UP their already legally purchased weapons. 2005 is going to be an interesting year.

Yea, that was one of the "loopholes" they wanted to close with the federal AWB renewal.

I see getting an AWB passed like Clinton had might get passed but forcing law abiding citizens to give up their legally purchased rifles is a big deal... Can u imagine having to give up your rifle... Not only is it taking away from your freedom but these guns aren't cheap...

Hopefully Florida doesn't become a California....

People would allow stupid bans to be voted in (AWB) but telling them they need to disarm and turn in weapons to be destroyed would most likely be a revolt in the making.

Considering that the vast majority of LEOs are for private gun ownership, it would be near impossible to have local police do any collection. You are also dead on about going door to door. No way would I follow that order, it would be playing russian roulette.

Republicans have a huge majority in Florida, no way in hell this gets passed. It's just more sabre rattling by retarded gun grabbing liberals.

Mags and weapons would be confiscated? Sounds like communism. Won't happen.

FL needs to soundly slap this lady for even proposing the bill, set an example for the other states that don't already have a ban. :gtfo2:

Doesnt that also violate the ex post facto clause too?
making people give up their rifles that they already had when it was legal to own them

Doesn't seem to bother Politicians when it comes to gun control. They are following Hitler's technique by the book.

thats extremely vague so far.. "defined as assault weapons"

what the fuck is an assault weapon.. according to bill clinton, its a gun with extremely evil features like bayonet lugs and collapsible stocks.

According to assbags like john kerry, its a semi-auto.. period.
