blah...i love learning this stuff but it's tough being a newb...

ok, so i've assigned and published applications to my pilot users and so far so good...but then i realized i had no way of tracking my license use...if users with applications assigned to them decide to roam around in house and install microsoft word onto whatever computer they were working on, how would i keep track of the license use? any good agentless asset nagivators to creep through your whole network and return back comp and software specs? i searched and came back with a few...the boss would consider shelling out a few bucks for a good one if i show her the cost effectiveness of knowing our available assets.

well i found the answer, just in case other people were wondering.

WinINSTALL and GPO have ways of removing an application if the user no longer meets the conditions for the application. IE the user moving to another computer. The Installer should remove the app from the old computer.
