A while ago I defraged my computer. When I restarted it the little scan disk :)dunno: I'm guessing, here is a PIC ) started showing up and it took a few mintues to get through, couldn't skip it.

The other day I reformatted my computer. This still comes up and it takes even LONGER to go through now. It doesn't even go all the way up, goes like halfway then my computer starts up. If I try scandisk in windows eventually it gives me an error and closes.

As far as I've noticed there isn't anything actually wrong with my computer, I'm just tired of waiting 10 mins to actually get on when it used to boot in under a minute.

Is there anything I can do to skip it? So it won't do it at all?

You can leave the power button turned off. :)

Generally, this bar is a progress indicator for the boot cycle, memory test, etc.

If you ever used windows 98, it was the blue bar at the bottom of the cloud window.
