    Oh SHIT!

    http://www.matt-hughes.com/blog/2007/12/06/matts-tuf6-journal-episode-12/

    Gets even better

Blake Bowman: Dana actually called all of us in the gym together, coaches and fighters to say "The doctor said your fine kid...you fucking blew it...there's nothing wrong with you."

If he's actually fighting on the card, there's probably more to the story than just what Matt Hughes and Bowman have to say. Dana can be a vindictive motherfucker, and I don't see him letting a faker/quitter fight on the finale.

Yes, I am sure that is all there is to the story. Because Dana is really going to let someone who is faking an injury back in the UFC

Pretty lame if that is true. He is listed to be fighting John this Saturday though. If that is true, it might be legit. I really don't see Dana giving the guy another chance after lying and giving up on a fight. Especially such an important fight.

Dana always triple checks his facts before he makes a statement.

Bad Matt, you must have been faking for sure. :nono:

I guess Bowman has all the time in the world to be posting stuff like that.

Just because a Dr. doesnt see anything doesnt mean there isnt something wrong. If dude knew he couldnt fight at 80 - 100%, and he was facing Mac, he very well may have made the right decision. Lying about a Dr. report is :greddy:, but then again, how on earth would Dana or anyone else have access to someone else's medical records?

Funny thing is, I thought about that last night too. I was like WTF about Doctor/Patient Confidentiality(sp). But I figured when they go on this show they have to sign some sort of contract and give up that right for injuries/ailments that happen during thes show.

Yeah, I am sure those two are just making things up. Even if Matt was only 80% he should of still fought.

Mac said he wouldn't have fought with Tommy's cut. Tommy is a ginger gorilla robot, so he doesn't count.

IMO with an injured rib he would be less than 80% in a fight. As he said, it really fucks with your breathing. Going into a fight against Mac would not have been a good idea. If he had to fight Bowman it would have been a different story. Yeah it made him look like a pussy on tv, but I think he made the right choice (if he really was in pain).

He would still have the possibility to win.

If he wants to hang out on the untelevised card that's cool and all.

lol, every fighter has an injury of some kind so this 80% 100% stuff is pretty lame.

if he doesn't have the heart to go for it when he's banged up then fine, but he's probably not gonna be wearing a ufc belt with that sort of attitued

You are right, no champ has ever had to delay a fight because of injury
