Expecting to settle a deal with UFC, the BTT black Belt Ricardo Arona, that don’t fight since April 8, when he was defeated by the camaronean Thierry Romeau Sokoudjou at Pride 34, will teach in a seminary for the Rafael Haubert pupils at the Brazilian Top Team filial at Barcelona, Spain. BJJ Mundial champion and ADCC champion, Arona will pass his knowledge at next October 6.

for fucks sake, how many time are we going to have to watch the rampage slam now?

I swear to god, the UFC gets a hold of 2 seconds of footage and ignores the rest of the fighter's career.

A cage and elbows makes Arona an instant title contender.

I think he would have his way with Chuck.

I never understood this..I always though Arona had good GnP...and with elbow and a cage will just be scary.

wtf, theyll sign arona but ignore Denis Kang?? Either way though itd be cool to see him in the cage and i actually would wanna see Tito v. Arona too. He could do really well in a cage.

Saudi government dragging there ass. It takes forever to get shit done and coordinated because of our work weeks. There "Saturday" starts on our Thursday. So our weekend starts on their Monday. So them getting in touch with the counsolute here is a pain. I don't know, I'm getting sick of waiting but the most current word is that my work visa is getting signed off on "today"(i.e. our late tonight) and that I will be fedexing my passport to the Saudi embassy tomorrow afternoon. I'll have it back in 3 days and then I can finally get on a god damn plane.

  21. 'page was. If Arona had rolled him off onto his back, he would have won.

and lets not forget he caught him in a tight triangle.

i could see him doing good in the ufc, cause they award way too much on takedowns....
he is a glorified josh koscheck, sick takedowns good bjj,
but i think hes a boring fighter to watch, the fans will NOT like him and i dont like him personally at all either.

I can smile when its raining.
I think Arona's bull-rush takedowns would be easier to defend in the Cage. You could let Arona take the center of the cage and he'd take you to the fence where you could stuff a takedown easier.

I'm not a huge Arona fan, but how much of this do you think is so they can get a Rampage Arona rematch and show "the slam" again.

LOL being against the cage makes defending a takedown easier???

You can't sprawl up against the cage, it makes defending takesdowns much, much harder brother. And in the UFC you can't grab the cage and hang on to it, so it's not giving the defender any advantage.

My primary method of taking people down is TO push them against the cage and then inside trip them.

I love Arona, not sure how well he will do in the UFC though. I think he will lose the decisions he is sure to get into.
