Or is it all 4 year or no care.

I might be getting deployed again in a year or so with my current reserve unit. Thats cool, Im about to clear out with my Ass. Degree with flight ratings up to Commercial and I was wondering what the opportunities were with the Army as far as going in as an Officer and possibly making it an Aviation MOS.

Of course, I want Europe as an assignment.

    Can anybody give any info?

To be an Commissioned Officer you need to have a college degree, if you are just interested in flying Helo's then you can become a Warrant Officer with out a degree at all. Look up WOFT if you are interested.

I also believe brackac just entered the WOFT program.

That's not exactly true. You are required to complete your degree i believe 1 year after commissioning. There were LT's in my OBC class that had to do degree completion stuff.

Also, you can be commissioned as an LT with an Associates degree. BUT you are unable to attend BOLC II or III until you complete it. It's kinda weird, and it mainly depends on your BOLC I entry point (WP, OCS, ROTC, JMC).

Usually these LT's are sent to guard units in their home towns, while they go to school. They are undeployable (obviously), and many of them work full time with AGR or ROTC.

BTW: Honestly, if you want to fly go warrant. As an officer you will fly alot until you hit O3.

This is only for enlisted personnel who want to go to OCS (not for 09S people). They can apply if they have a minimum of 90 college credit hours and then they must apply to a degree completion program and get their bachelors before they are eligible for promotion to 03.

Ahh.. I knew you had to have your degree if you were a College-Op (09S), but I didn't know that you could go to OCS if you were enlisted if you hadn't graduated. That's pretty cool to know.

So in other words an associates would be perfect for the Warrant Officer program...
