I just got an email and it said this:

:wtf: how the hell am I supposed to go to NY when I live in WA.

Should I pretend to have never gotten this? :dunno:
I also got one in the mail a couple of months ago.

    What should I do?

There's your answer. Just let them know why you can't make it. This is why they are having the muster.

    On the road. Again.
Just call princess. I got that letter in the Marines. You call, tell them you don't live in that state anymore, and call it good.

We have several IRRs that deployed with us. They were all pissed as fuck when someone said during a briefing at our MOB station how proud he was of the IRRs because all they had to do to not deploy was not reply to any of the correspondence that the Army sent them. :bowrofl:

so what happens if they send you a muster, say, like 6 months before the end of your 8 years?

do they just keep you for 6 months or do they stop loss you? because that would be fucked up

That is very true. I got out of a counseling statement and extra duty on that point.

Actually I was just BSing you. Anything past your initial enlistment period (beyond your IRR obligation) would have to be approved by the Secretary of the Army. All of the IRR's in my unit are going home about 2 months before the rest of the unit for the same reason. Their orders would have to be ammended and signed off by the Secretary of the Army.
