Ok, so saturday night I was drunk and arm wrestled with both arms and the next day my shoulder was really sore. Just felt like a sore muscle....like the middle (medial?) head of my deltoid. Anyways, I hit the gym today and do some chest work and by the end of the workout my shoulders just started to kill....like I was getting dizzy and thought I might pass out pain.

I'm starting to think maybe stress fractures or the muscle pulling away from the bone or something but I'm hoping some kines students can tell me what muscle groups I recruited by arm wrestling or what the cause of my pain could be :wtc:

It could be anything from delts to bi and pec muscle insertion points that you stressed my best guess is a rotator cuff injury.

sounds like rotator cuff. no shoulder work for 4-6 weeks, rehab with light weights and arm circles

I had the same issue 2 weeks ago, I was at the inlaws and my father-in-law and his biker friends wanted to arm wrestle. Messed up my elbows. Took 2 weeks of not working out and not using my arms to get them back... shittiest 2 weeks I have had in a long time. It made me realize how much I love pumping iron and how bad of a mood I get in when I can't lift.

One thing is for sure, I wont be doing that any time soon again. working out > arm wrestling!

Thanx guys. I've been taking time off too. I also hurt my self every time I arm wrestle and avoid it if I can...but it seems like when I get drunk bad things happen!
