I took my WALK AROUND lens for a work out while on vacation. By walk around I clearly mean my 70-200 which was used almost exclusively.

looks like the botanical gardens in phoenix right by the zoo and papago park.

Way to make it look pretty... because it damn sure doesnt look like that in person. Hahaha... I'm so sick of this place.

How is using the 70-200 for a walkaround? Is it doable? I always feel like that by the time I see something I want to take a picture of, I'm probably too close to take it w/the 70-200.

Also, are you cropping any of your pics?

Its mostly what I use, I don't like using mid range zooms. But I like the compression and minimal DOF the tele gives.

couple of the butterflies are cropped, rest are as shot. If it doesn't frame well, I usually don't shoot it :hs:

hmm I can't seem to get as closeup as your pics with my 70-200. with the focusing range on the 70-200, I'm at least 8-10 ft away... and when I zoom in I can't get a tight closeup w/o cropping.
