Something didn't feel right on my second set of squats on Wednesday. I leaned foward too far and probably strained something when I was straightening out and coming up. By the end of my workout I was in a bit of pain. My lower back muscles are still spasming, and the lumbar part of my spine is currently straight. Doc gave me some muscle relaxants, sent me for xrays (in case of a hairline? fracture), and I have to see a physical therapist. While I was talking to him about hitting a new deadlift PR (285x5 ftw) on Saturday he asked "is there any particular reason you have to do deadlifts?" I looked him straight in the eye and said "because I'm not a pussy." I wanted to break 305x5 for my DL by new years. Don't see that happening now... cliffs: hurt back at the gym, more concerned with how it effects my progress than with the actual injury.
