    found this dandy too

yeah, the house is substituting their views on local gun laws instead of yours. if you try to push for gun bans, its ok. if someone else pushes for no gun bans its pushing their views on you :slap: how about they were interpreting the constitution you idiots

WTF are "local guns laws". I don't see too many "local freedom of speech laws".

I thank God every day I live in Texas

  6. We don't want to ban tires, just implement common-sense tire laws. Tires must be "child proof" and we would require tire-stamping technology that would leave distinct marks on any road travelled, so police could trace tire marks to a specific car if used in a crime.

Don't forget, tires must not be able to exceed 70mph.

This thread makes me want to work on a spoof site I've been thinking about. It would be drawn up to look serious, and every time the anti-gunners come up with new BS to spout, I'd add it to the site. Only, instead of guns it would be automobiles.

Like how we need to ban autos with two or more of these features:
gas tank over 10 gallons - makes it too easy to evade police

black in color - if you aren't doing anything wrong, you have nothing to hide, so why hide your whole car by painting it black?

large cupholders - obesity is an epidemic in the US, and these super big gulp holders are making the problem worse!
    etc etc

and mimic the brady campaign and other such sites.

For every 1 accidental child gun death, you can replace it with 41 motor vehicle deaths

gun lock = steering wheel lock

high cap mag = high cap gas tank

    detachable mag = gas cans

    adjustable stock = adjustable seats

.50cal sniper (or other large caliber) = 5.0L v8 (or larger engines)

pistol grip or thumbhole stock = pistol grip shifter or steering wheel spinner

black color = black color - ban - unsafe, especially at night, too easy to hide from police detection

barrel shroud = oversized rims - special permit required for possession

armor-piercing bullets = run-flat tires - ban (too easy to run from police / defeat police blockade)

bayonet lug = brush guard - ban - no purpose except to run down innocent people or cute furry animals

bayonet = snow plow - must have special license & pay enormous tax / fee

conceal carry == garage or tarp over vehicle - must have permission from LEA and special permit.

Think of some more comparisons for me, and I'll start thinking of a domain name. Especially comparisons that go back to the original AWB.

edit: more more more keep 'em coming! There are babies to save!!!

We should introduce a bill that will ban specific handheld devices designed to precisely launch a small projectile at lethal velocities for distances of hundreds of yards.

See how those congressmen like it when we take their golf clubs away. :fawk:
