My co-worker was playing it at work a majority of the day today. Graphically the game is fucking awesome and the fighting is pretty sweet to. But according to reviews there is no replay value after beating the game.

Got bioshock 2 today though for my bro. Long ass install according to him but says bioshock 2 is pretty much :bigthumb:

Whats with all these button mashers lately?

    Dantes Inferno
    Bayonetta
    Darksiders

    All look pretty repetitive/boring

I can't speak for Dante but Bayonetta is far from a button masher and Darksiders has puzzles and shit.

Dante has puzzles as well, not very complicated but puzzles none the less. Just finished it and it took me exactly 8 hours on the dot for those who are buying it be warned. Good game none the less

I'll buy it simply because I never get tired of reading the story (or poem, whatever) and I want to see if the game has anything to do with it.

Everytime you die, there is a quote from the inferno.

Also, a lot of the enemies and history behind it I think deal a lot with history of the greeks(I could be wrong here) because I recognize some names when you meet them.

quite a few parallels. Lot of the same characters from each layer and motifs/punishments...it's worth checking out. I'm the same way, I've probably read The Inferno about 15 times over and always find and discover something new about it. Story is so fucking good. Paradiso is snoozeville though

Nope. I got a bunch of other games to finish. I'm getting Bioshock 2 and Heavy Rain this month. I might rent Dante's Inferno later on down the road though.

It was a day 1 for me just because of the art direction and atmosphere......but it's going to price drop in 2-3 weeks.

    There's just no room for a second-rate GoW rip-off like Dante's Inferno.
