I've worked at a relaly nice camera store here for about 2 weeks now, and whenever someone makes a relaly big deal about how much stuff we have they're mostly always Americans.

"Wow, I can't believe you guys actually display 7 L lenses! You actually have them in stock? Can I touch it? (that's what she said)"

They always seem in awe of everything we have.. I mean, we are the nicest in Edmonton for sure.. but they are just awestruck when they step in, does everyone just buy online down there? What's the deal?

most of our "pro" and local stores are disappear to the shutterbugs of the world who do not inventory the good stuff.

there are quite a few places here in tokyo like this:

cant find pics of this other store that I go to a lot called "Map Camera" that has 2 buildings, one digital, one film. digital is 2 floors, and film is 6. new and used stuff.

not to mention the HUGE chain stores like bic camera and yodobashi camera that are in most major areas of tokyo, and regularly stock L glass and what not.
