I did. Granted, I didn't do a full tour, didn't do a deployment or anything like that, but I did enjoy what I got.
If I knew they'd take me back, if I knew I wouldn't get injured again, I'd do it over in a heartbeat. I have (and still do) bitch about the Navy, but I did like it. There's aspects of EVERY job you're going to hate. But it was a very valuable experience for me and taught me a lot.
what did you like and what didn't you like?
My wifes a marine. She says she would stay in if she was single, but hates it for the married life. Shes glad she did it, but right now hates her job and the people they work for. (They have her doing something thats not MOS related at all)
Females must feel like it's a giant meat market
My wife loved her time in the Army. With that said, she did a 2 year enlistment in Hawaii, assigned to a Cobra attack unit. As you can see, she saw the best parts of the Army. Throw in the fact that her assigned weapon was a 50 cal and you can see why she liked her enlistment.
