I have the site and all the licenses. I need help to make a page that does not look like a stock forum.

Every page in my industry is pretty much the same as far are forums or how to market them. I need an edge to get people to visit.

I have a user base, I have a number of members that contribute to the community but I want it to not look like a stock vbulletin community and most of my members have hated what I have purchased as skins.

What can I do or is anyone willing to take this on ( depending on price ) ?

    The site is : copiertalk.com

do not ban me, I am not a spammer.

get a real logo for starters.

The copier looks good, but the text is bad. It also does not match at all with your skin.

I'm not sure what you mean by "make a page that does not look like a stock forum". Are you trying to make a portal page or you just want the forum to have a different skin? You can check vbulletin.org for some free skins, or buy one.

It is almost a stock vbulletin skin.

evey forum in the industry has either a stock forum skin or a phpbb stock skin so I am looking for something different.

    I have purchased several.

I will be honest in that most of it is my lack of experience. I can edit templates where it mentions.

    find

    Code:

    ....

    replace with

    Code:
    .....

I lack the experience to make a page or a format to make it look like a professional page.

Have you install a vB skin before? You just import an XML file, with little to no modifications at all. Well, that depends on the skin and how much you want to change your look. It's not like phpBB or any other skin/template system. I use the default skin, as default, with 3 other simple skins available for users to switch (including one for PDA). It doesn't bother my members at all, since content is king.

Where can I do that? most of the logo design threads in the forum end up in a disaster. I am willing to pay for it, but not the bullshit in the main forum.

    I have purchased several.

With the update going to 3.7 most of it is waithing on the release but I have not found a common ground between what my members want and what I think looks nice.

I agree, I need a header image. That is what I will work on.

yes, I am considering that. most techs are remote and look info up on their phone or pda. I am and have looked that up on vb.org and I am looking at that mod.

Some of the larger dealers have requested their own forum so the "social groups" were the perfect solution for this. Danka, Ikon or who ever could start their own network of groups.

Now that it has started, members are backing away not wanting to be associated with a group. I can understand that. I do not think I would either.

If you do not mind, I may cantact you later.

You could probably do a logo contest in the main forum and paypal someone $20 bucks or something for a new logo.

If you want to learn how to make your own skins, then read tutorials. Pick a skin you do like that's free and modify it to your liking.

    About 3 years or so.

It started as an ezboard communtiy and after the ezboard crash a few years ago we migrated to our own domain and just went forward. I guess as with most forums we started someplace else and just developed our own path and niche.
