    fredmiranda.com
    photo.net
iphotoforum.com (actually, its not very good. I was active there when it first started, but the quality of photographers was very low compared to fredmiranda.com)

unfortunately all of the once great forums have been on a steady decline. So you're forced to put up with the measurbaters and the "yes men" in hopes of finding a few good tidbits of info.....

It may not be a large site, but the quality of work on there and the skill of the photographers far exceeds the amount of work and quality put together on this site.

They are positive and nice people with vast knowledge on the subject.

That's what I used to go for, but they are just too positive over there. Nobody will tell anybody if their stuff is shitty.

    DOT.

I can't remember what thread it was, but it was a long one and I was looking through it one day when I was bored and I saw shitty picture after shitty picture after shitty picture.. And all the responses were, "OMG! That's the most beautiful picture in the world!" "How did you do that? It's amazing!" :ughd:

no, the best is when someone asks for pics of some super expensive lens like....85mm 1.2 or something. and someone posts something that looks like was taken with a 80 dollar 50mm 1.8 and the next post it "omg its awesome. your picture just convinced me to buy the 85mm 1.2. kthxbai"

I also find it funny that every single girl that's posted is "so amazingly beautiful" even if she's a two ton manatee with four eyebrows or something

This one is seroiusly a good forum. You just can't let it get under your skin...Chimpo, Marley, mojito, Tits (& others) really know their stuff. And will always kick you down to let you know your stuff sucks and that you need to relearn the basics. This is a def. bonus... Which is what 99% of the people on the other forums DON"T seem to realize. Because that superior noise control on that D3 TOTALLY makes for a better picture....:greddy: Problem is, they all suck at the basics and cover it up with shitty PS and stupid fads like HDR.

PS: I shoot Nikon, and totally think the superior noise control of the D3 that will never be in my hands totally makes me a better photographer than you. :hsugh:

I went to POTN and everyone on there is soo fucking nice, some guy posted an alright picture and the first reply was like "Very nice shot Richard I hope to see more from you, Thanks, Paul."

Its so damn annoying how they refer to everyone by their first name and say every single shot is nice.
