So my gf has gotten a gym membership ( ) with her best friend, and they're starting to go to the gym pretty regularly. She's asked me what sort of routine/schedule she should do, because right now she's doing the walk on a treadmill for a few minutes, nonsense gossip, go to yoga routine like most girls at the gym. Do the routines around here go for girls too? Will the same exercises work the same way for them, or should girls go for more low-weight high rep sorts of things? I don't really know - I've read plenty of material for training myself, but never really any in the context of women - I told her to do squats though for dat ass :mamoru:

if she does any barbell workouts, tell her to start with just the bar so she doesn't get hurt. unless shes just a monster that could already handle some weight...a pic would have been essential to guesstimate

definitely not strong. I've set off on trying to get myself back into decent shape (Down from 215 to 197 since Jan 19th :) ) and I think it's rubbing off on her, I just don't really know how to give her advice.
