so i'm currently cutting (not the first time) and i've probably gone over maintenence 3-4 days the past month and a half. but from the time i've started until today at the gym i've gained 5 pounds and gotten a bit stronger :ugh:

i was thinking that it's the new arnold routine that i'm on that's developing muscles i had never worked...but 5 pounds? i haven't really noticed any loss in bf% either in the mirror. does my diet need to be a hell or a lot stricter? i haven't been extremely strict about the percentages (sometimes protein dips below 100 grams and carbs over 150 :sad2: )

    ~19%

if you're gaining weight, and i'm going to assume you're not on AAS, then you're not under maintenance.

what is your maintenance level and how did you calculate it? and what %'s are you trying to hit? Your protein intake should be closer to 200g per day than 100.

yea, usually i do 1g/lb of body weight. a personal trainer at my gym ( :hsugh: ) calculated it and it's around 2800 calories. the only time i go over 2800 calories is when i drink and i've only drank twice in the past month.

    what's AAS?

taking about <2200 but i have been really lazy about counting the calories, so that may be my problem.

eating 4-5 times a day and i do cardio once or twice a week.

i actually think i've figured out my problem

you're probably not counting everything. people always tend to underestimate, especially if you just guessing and rounding.

Lol count your calories/weigh your food. Cardio everyday, 30 mins in the morning and 30 in the evening. If you can't squeeze in two sessions do one for 45 mins.
