Have any of you done this or do they require press passes?
I've brought mine to plenty of games out here in AZ, but i'm guessing it might depend on the security policies of the stadium?
each is different I've taken mine in without issue, but I also have a few things to show to try and get by if the person isn't an ass or their boss is watching
Cool...I guess it's worth a try. I noticed there's a few fellow Coloradoans in this subforum. Have any of you shot at Coors Field?
Petco in San Diego doesn't have a problem nor does Wrigley Field in Chicago. Fenway in Boston, however, does. They don't allow bags in period...probably because it's such a tight squeeze just to sit down!
go to their website, it will say.
I've been nabbed every singel time i've gone to Chase Field... You can bring them in, but can't take pictures during active play. atleast that's what i was told every time i went.
Here is a quote from Coors Field's website:

I guess this will be their discretion as to what is considered professional and non-professional cameras.
If you're afraid that your camera might prohibit you from entering the event, go there ahead of time or call and ask people personally. Obviously you're not going to call and ask the desk lady or the janitor, call and ask to talk to a manager or security manager, and be sure to take names.
If someone gives you a hard time you can be like, "well I spoke to your manager Jason Lee and he said that I can bring my camera in here.."
Not rocket science
Do you have balls...?? If the manager says that you're not allowed to bring DSLR's in the stadium, you still have the managers name...
If you want to risk it, knowing the managers name could gain you access with your camera. I'm not saying you should do this, but I'm sure that more people than just myself have done this.
Hell, even Derrict and I got press passes at a car show by bullshitting.
Just be nice to whoever you talk to.. They let me into the Mellon Arena with my entire camera bag and I shot a whole Penguins Hockey Game..ironically my seats were right by the official photographer who wasn't even using as nice of gear
I've gone to hockey games and a couple of monster jams and wasn't given any problems, even with my whole camera bag
like everyone is saying though, it depends, ask ahead of time
I've brought my SLR at Coors many times........
They just dont allow me to bring my monopod
Sweet. Thanks Nick. Can't wait for opening day...if only we could get a decent team. Stupid Monforts.
I love going to Rockies games, its so relaxing and good times!
