I don't wear one under my gi. With brand new gis, I recommend it cause they feel like sandpaper. But if you've got a broken in gi...nah.

unless your a super hairy / super sweaty dude... i'd say no need. unless like hillary said, it's a new gi. we had one guy start and after a practice or two his elbows were huge bloody messes from gi burn -> scabs -> bloody messes.

I've never had a rash guard. I'm thinking about getting one just to try it out. It looks like it would make it a hell of a lot hotter. There's one guy that wears a rash guard under a t-shirt under his gi :ugh:

it depends they have some good gis where you dont need them. With my addidas gi I really dont need it Ill get a friction mark here and there but nothing serious. Probably like some one said because its broken in. I had this other gi I forget what the hell it was but man every time I wore tha crap I would come out looking like zangif from street fighter. So I would rock a rash guard if I was using that.

Some other people use it. Some times I use it

The heaters broke in our building when it was below freezing outside...there were a ton of people wearing hoodies under their gis, and it was hilarious because everyone was too padded to move.
