Are PCIe backwards compatible?

    I have a new PCIe card that may be faulty. I dont have any other way to test and was wondering if it would work in a normal PCI slot?

    I'm going go out on a limb here and say if you really need to be askign this question you probally shouldn't be opening your computer

    Why dont you go jump off that limb and STFU, just cause I dont know everything about one piece of hardware.

    Anyone in here that can actually help me without dumbass answers.
