just curious what other people think. every other MA seems to be alot cheaper, regardless of the quality of training. i paid $40/mo this summer to train with a former olympic team judoka, a couple national/jr national champs, and some wrestling national champs. some bjj schools are charging $80+ for 2 days a week... just curious how other people feel. personally i'd pay $100/mo for unlimited mat time, but seems so pricey.

My school is going up to $125 a month on our next renewal. It's got me considering changing schools, and the cheaper one is $90 a month.

My school is $100/mo but that includes all classes offered. However the school gives 50% off to students of the local university so I only pay $50/month. IMO it would still be worth it at $100.

I'm 89 a month, but I can see them going up as we are merging with a Muay Thai gym next month I believe

I'm at 85 a month as well, but I can go to classes monday-thursday and then saturday they have boxing.

It's expensive. If the budget gets tight, it'll be the first thing to go because it is so expensive and expendable.

its a joke concidering it used to be 50 a month every where. realistically if they just offered bjj they shouldnt be charging that much. if they offer bjj and other things and have a good program for all there shit its worth paying 75 +. The gracie miami school wants over 100 and I told the guy to go fuck himself because if I wanted to pay that much I would just go to top team and get grappling that was as good or better and have striking and mma training that was worlds better then what their school had to offer.

I'm glad I'm an instructor. Our prices get higher than any mentioned.

and, as for justifyable, if people are willing to pay it, charge what the market will bear. honestly you get what you pay for in most cases.

Supply and demand. Of course it's justifiable.

I want to train, but I don't have $150/month to spend on JJ classes.

This is why I'm just sticking to boxing for now, which is pretty much free.

    My school runs 120 for 2x a week...140 for 3x...160 for unlimited.

I hate how much it costs each month, but I still go bc it keeps me active.

wow. most places allow you to have a week trial so that you can decide if you feel comfortable with the class, fellow students, style of teaching, etc...

I'd like to start at a Cobra Kai here in Vegas, but its a bit pricey for me right now. Reylson Gracie is a fair bit cheaper. :hsd:

well, if you live in Chula-juana and like training there then thats a decent price and a decent gym,. I could have hooked you up with a good price at my gym, but if that one works for you then that is cool and hopefully things will work out. and i thin Rob Kaman is going to instruct there. so that is dope as fuck in itself.

yea im sure they allow you to sit in on classes but i guess im a compulsive buyer lol because this was the rate for the first 300 people who sign up.. $198 down which covers first 2 months and $99 per month for the next 10 months

My school is 109 a month for 2x a week.
    149 for unlimited...

I'm seriously going to try to get them to let me get unlimited access for 149....

Miletich Fighting Systems in Houston has it for 120month for unlimited training... So if I can't get my place to let me go for 109.. I'm fixing to change to MFS, and try to bring them down to 100 a month. =D
