if its a car handguard that you want a carbine length rail. if it's a "free float" rail you'll have to take the front sight off to install it.

Not if it's a Daniel Defense Omega.

Why do you want to change the handguards?

this fucking guy is asking what size handguards to get, and how to take them off.

do you REALLY think he knows what the fuck a DD omega rail is?

you stand the gun up on its buttstock, pull the delta ring down with 1 hand and pop the lower half of the handguard off with the other, then take the upper half off.

Mine is really stiff, it takes 2 people to remove the hand guards.

The tool helps if you don't have an extra pair of hands.

If you have a pair of channel locks, they will do the job. Use the handles to grab the delta ring and push down with one hand and slide the handguards out with the other.

This or a big pair of pliers with the rubber coating on the handles. Its quite grabby and works well.
