I already found what I want as far as an AR, but I dont know what kind of mags I should get. I know Im going to get 30 rnders for sure, but what about those cmags I see? Are there some decently priced ones?

Are there different coatings on mags too? Whats the best one?

BTW Ive decided to get a stag 2h upper from the guy on ar15.com for $485
And also get a lower from him with maybe a tactical stock installed. for about $260

Im getting my first paycheck from my new job. Its going to be 3 weeks worth. (withholding the first one or something) Should be almost $400, plus Ive got another $200 in cash at my house.

And about a grand in my bank account, but I dont think I want to touch that cept for an emergency)

Plus, my grandma was being paid to store 2 cars in her shed on the farm. They are a 1987 Irocz (no motor or tranny or hood or seats) pretty much a stripper
And a 1951 plymouth deluxe. 6 flathead, no hood, engine unbolted, operating condition unkown.
I told her I would sell them for her, but she said shed give to the junkman for free :ugh2:. That was 3 weeks ago or more, and he hasnt gotten them yet:). She said if he doesnt get them soon, I can sell on Ebay and keep the money :x:. Maybe $800-$1000 atleast? I could get an AR assembled for that easy! What should I ask for each of the cars?:dunno:

Plus, any other accs I should think about getting? Maybe a cheaper tactical rail? Any good folding sights?

Links to accs or parts would be cool. :x:

The Iroc will get nowhere close to $800 unless EVERYTHING else is in perfect condition.

I order my mags from 44mag.com. They used to sell them with the Magpul followers installed but I guess you have to get them seperatly now. I prefer the teflon coated ones, black or grey.

as long as the mags are USGI they should be ok, old used ones may need springs or followers replaced, 44mag is a good place to order them from too, I've got a wide variety of mags from various manafactuers that made USGI mag's and none that I can say function better or more problematic then others. USA and Promags generally suck so avoid them. the beta cmags i think cheapest run about $200 cann't speak for there reliability or anything.
As far as the cars doubt you'll get much for them be more fun to keep them and shoot them.

Well, I was hoping I could use the money from the cars to pay for an entire AR or atleast most of one, and then use the rest of my available funds not including money in the bank to get a k31, and maybe an m38 and m44 mosin to finish my mosin models up.

Or maybe buy a Swedish 41b

I've heard good things about the mags from http://www.cproductsllc.com/ even the stainless ones. On arf he seems like he's the kind of guy that'll make it right if you have a problem too.

    Ranger plates?
I like to use them when i`m at my good friends dads place*has a cement floor under the pavilion*when doing stress tests.
Also the mags that have been mentioned are the ones to go with*usgi*44mag and cproducts are some of the better deals out.keep an eye out of those companies cuz from time to time they have decent sales goin on.out of the 30+ mags i have, only 3 have a ftf, usualy the 1st or 2nd rd not stripping from the mag.one of them if some english one and the other 2 are gi`s.
I need to pick up a couple more 20 rds..just to have..i`ve got to 10 rds that look like 20`s but one will be getting modded into a 5rd this deer season.
