Went with a friend of mine to a local gun place. They had stripped Delton(DTI) lowers and Doublestar lowers in stock. They had them for $130. I was shocked they had them, since most places online are backordered and around the same price. Plus the local gun show wanted $200+ for them. Anyway, is there anything wierd with these lowers, like commercial spec stock setups vs. milspec? I know some of the magpul stock kits specify whether you have a commercial or milspec setup. I'm going to get one doublestar and one delton...or should I go with one vs the other?

    Thanks.

  2. Either lower would be fine. The commercial/milspec buffers are related to the size of the buffer tube. Either buffer tube would work with either lower.

No such thing as comm or milspec lower.

Ok, so if I order a stock with the buffer tube, it'll fit this lower no matter what. If I want to use a stock with an existing buffer tube, the tube has to be identified as milspec or commercial?

  5. Correct.

I was sent a comm tube and had a milspec stock...Does NOT fit. Just a cunt hair off.

  7. The commercial stuff is a slight bit larger in diameter than the milspec stuff. You can install a commercial stock onto a milspec tube, but it will be pretty loose.

Thanks guys, I'm gonna pick them both up. They have 4 or 5 others sitting there. I'm contemplating get another two incase a ban does go through. Dunno, if I should though. I guess I could always sell the ones I don't use.
