Put together a new RRA lower with a DPMS parts kit. Installed a BCM upper onto the lower with no difficulties. During a function check I found that a magazine would not seat in the magwell. Inspected the magwell and noticed the upper receiver was not flush with the front of the magwell. Pulled everything apart and compared the RRA with a CMMG lower I picked up recently on impulse and sure enough, the magwells didn't align. The RRA magwell is machined too far forward making it impossible to insert a magazine with an upper installed or have the follower engage the bolt catch. A drag . Anyone here had to mess with exchanging a gun or receiver? I am only assuming their warranty is good on a stripped lower given that the installation of the other parts was not relevant to the thing being machined incorrectly. Just venting a bit. My new rifle has become an expensive doorstop.
