Selling the 1911, just havent really shot it and didnt like it as much as I thought, Its a GI model with Pachmayr rosewood and rubber grips on it. I am thinking of selling it and buying a Glock 9mm to maybe carry since MS hands out CHLS with just an application and find something else to do with my AR money I just got.. what should I do.

I still have the Ruger 22/45 and 10/22 (stock)

I am selling the AR because it sits in the closet, I put 800rds through it in 3 years.. I thought about modd'n in the 10/22 with the AR money, but most ranges I have seen only let you shoot 10/22 at the pistol side of the range and dont want to dump $600 to make only 25yd shots :hs:

I thought to sell the 1911 and pick some something smaller to carry down the road and maybe get a PS3 and some tools or some stuff with my AR money

I reload for my taurus 1911. I love it. You should keep the 1911 buy a single stage press and learn the ins and outs of reloading.

wait...what? Is that $13 for 550 physical bullets to reload or is $13 the net cost for enough bullets, powder, and primers to reload 550 pieces of brass?

I still loved the used s&w metal framed autos too like those sold at summit gun broker. They're reliable, durable, and cheap.

How can you beg that question in any seriousness? Their reputation for jams and spending plenty of time at the gunsmith is not entirely undeserved.

It's a classic design and I might up and buy one someday, but it would be a range gun / shelf queen and about the last thing I would turn to in a SHTF situation, lug around the wilderness, etc.

I'm always open to trying new guns, but I have yet to find one I enjoy shooting as much as my 1911. :dunno:
