How do I get the handguards off my AR? I've tried pulling back the delta ring and having a friend try to pull down on the handguards, but they don't move to easily. Does it just need some force, or should I just let the gunsmith do it?

should be able to do it w/ a friend. there's nothing holding them in besides the delta ring. you do need to put a lot of muscle into the delta ring though, he might not be pulling it down far enough.

Everyone always says it's so hard to get their handguards off, but I don't see the big deal. I just take my right hand with the buttstock on the ground and push down as hard as I can and the I can easily pop the handguards right out.

If your's are really that difficult though, you could buy the handguard removal tool which basically easily pushes the delta ring down for you. It's not expensive at all, only like $17 from Tapco.

How often do you people take your handguards off? I takem off MAYBE once a year and clean under them, other then no need to takem off unless your upgrading something, after shipping over $20 for a tool that you a) you dont really need b) will use very rarely.

Yay, I got the handguard of no problem after I took the EoTech off, and now I got my rail and vertical grip installed.
