ive got a fenix light thats wayyyyyy better, and also uses normal AAs instead of those expensive CR123 batteries. im gonna try to find a rail mount for it.

I'd prefer my light on that side and I'm right handed. That way I can hit the clicky with my thumb.

Why would you put a red dot on top of a carry handle when you have a flat top upper?

rather than getting the tool and taking the front sight off to be out of the way, then buying a flipup front and rear sight, installing them, etc. i just got the $7 handle rail adapter for now. i can still use the irons through it, or take it off with the thumbscrew in 5 seconds. like i said, im just messing with different configurations.

should have saved the money you spent on the red dot and that adaptor thing and just bought a quality back up sight and saved for a future optic

You should just trade in that carry handle for a BUIS.. You can leave the front A2 sight, and then just mount or cheapo optic on the flat top.

It's supposed to. It's called a Co-witness. Judging by that cheapo red dot, I'd say it'll be an absolute co-witness, meaning the dot will be right on top of the front sight post.
