I want to buy a complete rifle, I don't want to build one from scratch. It will be used for plinking around and possible small game/varmint hunting. What are my options in the ~ $800 range?

I've looked at the Bushmasters and the Olympic Arms models...how are they?

Edit: I'm looking at the 16" Carbine/M4...not the full size.

Someone posted the link to some of CMMG's $550 ARs, which would leave you some left over for ammo or toys.

skip anything that says olympic, vulcan, hesse. you should go ahead and get a flattop with flip up irons, because if it's your first AR, it won't be long before you want to add a EOTech or Aimpoint os something.
