Could someone post an EDU on how to mechanically zero my AR sights? Pics would be awesome.
First result on google .
404 front sight adjustments not found. My sights aren't marked like that either.
Do you have an a2 configuration? A1 ? Misc brand flip up?
A2. Marked 0, 5, 10, 15, 20
Odd I can't help you then.
1) On the rear sight, crank it down to the '3' (should be the lowest setting). Now move it one click UP from that position.
2) center the rear sight
3) using the SMALLER opening in the flip sight (assuming you have a small and large one), rotate the front sight untill you are on the correct horizontal plane at 25 yards.
4) repeat for left/right on the rear sight.
repeat 3 and 4 as needed.
5) Now, click the rear sight DOWN to 3 (should be ONLY one click), and you will be on target at 300 yards. You can then use the rear sight to adjust for distance. using the larger, 0-200 yard apurture will move your POI SLIGHTLY relative to your aim, because it rotates on the same threads that adjust windage.
Hope that helps
But mine bottoms out at "0".
It's a CAA A2 removable carry handle.
0? um...pics would help
does it have a '3' marking ANYWHERE on it? what range does it go to? Mine is like 3-6
No. It has 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, as I previously mentioned.
Take some pics of it homeskillet.
The rear sight is bottomed out in this pic:
Set the rear sight to "0" and zero in at 50 yards? That's what I would do. You'll need to figure out how much each elevation adjustment of the rear sight affects point of impact at 50 yards and translate that into distances 300 yards away. Once you figure that out, I'd mark the distances off on your A2. I don't have any idea what 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 would denote.
more evidence CAA blows goats
Someone should have told me this.
I wish I could find that bullet drop chart for 5.56. It would help you to know how much you need to compensate for.
So... not a single person here has seen sights like this?
