Like as in so tight that the rear takedown pin is hard to get in/out? I have a Del-ton lower and LMT 10.5" upper. Just seems SO much fucking tighter than my others. Just curious if anyone has this same combo or has heard of it being this way. Thing fires fine, just a bitch to fucking get the pin out, and it seems like I am almost forcing it closed. :dunno:

just bored and thought I would ask.

When my rifles were brand spankin new they were tight.

My MEGA/MEGA was super tight. But as you use it, it loosen slightly and makes it much easier.

  3. I have a DMPS upper and DPMS lower that are very tight together.

just make sure to lightly lube the receiver lug.

It gets loose over time... and eventually even a little sloppy. My RRA used to be a pain in the ass to take down, but now there even a slightly wobble.

My S&W M&P15 was difficult to take down when it was brand new, but gets easier every time.

my bcg wouldnt' slam forward and chamber a new round correctly for a few hundred rounds on the first round. i think it was due to the coating VLTOR uses, but it is fine now :dunno:

it has built in tolerances so that when they get hot, they do not bind....

Check to make sure your buffer tube isnt in to far and catching the upper receiver when closing.

I actually got a couple of accuwedges that help make the fit at the rear pin a little tighter. It's supposed to take the play out. i don't know if it makes it more accurate or not, but it doesn't have any play like it used to.

got 2 of those for 2 others that were a little loose, and I had to cut them down so much just to make the fucking pin go in, it was stupid

  16. It doesn't really make it any more accurate, since the upper half is what contains the receiver and barrel and sighting system. The accuwedge just makes the rifle feel a bit better.

yeah that's what I had read, but figured I'd try anyways. even cutting it up left the fucking things tighter than the one this thread is about. :greddy:

  18. I have one in my AR. I like the more sturdy feeling it gives.

Teir 1 rifles are so tight that not even electrons can get through.

My LMT upper had two notches towards the front of the upper (where it touches the lower) that made for a very tight fit.

Let me see if I can find pics.

They must have changed things. My old LMT was loose. Had the most wobble out of 3 uppers i've owned.

It's very possible depending on who manufactured the tube.
