I got bored the oterh day and ordered myself a set of MI #17 handgaurds for my RRA M4. Now I am thinking I should buy something to go on them.

For some reason I want to get a green laser. Nothing expensive though. Won't I have to have a vertical grip for the pressure switch to mount to? :o

If so, what does OT AR crew suggest?

there's many options for mounting the pressure switch. I have a VFG that lets me integrate a pressure switch on either side.

Is yours the Tango down model?

I saw this description on them.
... The grip features a novel pocket that appears when needed, to positively mount pressure switches without movement or damage. Just remove the threaded end cap, slide out the filler panel and place inside the grip for storage. Replace the panel with your pressure switch and replace the end cap to lock the switch in place. Quick and easy, allowing fast mount and dismount of lights and lasers.

  6. You should buy ammo. That's a better way to spend money on your AR than trying to think up accessories to festoon the gun.

    :ugh2:

You're officially out of gun crew for using the word festoon.

And how the hell do you know I don't already have alot of ammo. :nono:

  8. You can never have enough ammo. Seriously though, to try and come up with accessories to buy because you "think you should buy something" to go on the rails you bought just seems like you want to spend money on stuff you know you don't need.

And festoon is a great word.

Guess I'll actually have to go to a real gun forum to get helpful info.

Green lazers are kinda neat (they are bright as all get out), but they generally are kinda pricey and I personally would have an extremely limited use for one. It strikes me as more of a novelty that you would get bored with soon, and then have a bunch of $ tied up into it. As far as mounting options, you can either go with the VFG mount, or a rail mount, or whatever you prefer. Lot's of ways to do that.

I'd personally buy a cheap VFG, and cut it down to make a stubby (I shoot thumbs forward). I'm not into all the accessories out front, as I don't use them. What kind of optics/stock/trigger are you running? I'd rather upgrade one of those groups before I spent money on a laser.

I'll end up just getting an inexpensive ebay laser. Not looking for something to go into battle with.
I did the same with my aimpoint "clone" and like it alot.

I just want to know what kind/brand of VFG is suggested. Something around 60-80 would be sufficient.
