I appolagize if ive accidently invented a gas system that dosnt exist but thats the part thats really fucking with me.

Ok so ill be ready probably this friday to buy my upper and finish my ar15, so ive been looking around and holy shit there are way to fucking many choices im lost.

as of now im leaning towards a car A4 upper ( manufacturer i dunno )
I like the barrel profile. I don't want a gernade launcher mount on my barrel.

so now onto the 11ty billion options / choices .

Should i go with a full length, mid, or carbine gas system?

Should I spring for a detachable carry handle? ( eotech in the future ) or a flip up rear sight?

What do i do about a rear sight? Im more interested in makeing my parts go bang right now than spending 400 bucks on an optic.

I like the way the midlength handguards look is there a differance other than asthetics?

    HALP ME!!

as i mentioned a few times before this is going to be a fighting rifle SBR at some point but right now im going to stick 16" barrel on it and start saving for the nfa shit.

    think CQB when makeing suggestions.

I like the way this upper looks ignore the removable carry handle for the time being as I dont know if that the route I want to go.

Can anyone tell what I would say to purchase something similar?

If it's going to be an SBR, the only thing that makes any sense is carbine length handguards/gas system.

All a middy would net you is a 'Dissipator' look to your SBR, and limit the length you could cut down to...

plus, if you plan to get optics in the future why waste time with a carry handle?

i wont have an aimpoint until next summer but im getting a troy BUIS now so i wont have to buy it later on, and/or sell the carry handle

Yeah, I said fuck the carry handle altogether, it is the most useless feature on the gun. :o

You're in for a motherfucker of a time with that roll pin, unless you've got a good punch set.. I think I still have pieces of the drill bit I had to use embedded in my skull.. :o

    Looks so hot though. :boink:

I would lose the ARMS BUIS in favor of an LMT or LaRue fixed BUIS, really that's personal preference. But if you're doing a 16" rifle, mid-length will be the smoothest-shooting, most reliable setup...

Sabre or Cav Arms are good places to start...

Then I'd go with a Midlength flattop.

Thunderbear what front and rear sights are those? If I purchase flip ups now its one less thing I have to fuck with in the future, and I like your rifle all except the 10 miles of rail you have on top of it.

Since you want to shorten the barrel at a late time, go CAR.

Flip up. You can mount the Eotech without removing the BUIS.

    Buy a flip up sight.

In general, midlengths will be more reliable than carbines, because of the gas system. Also, midlengths will allow for a longer sight radius.

If you can live with a 16" barrel or something close, the mid length will give better performance than the carbine will.

You may want to check out Rock River Arms. They are having a sale right now on their full guns and uppers and while they dont get all the talk that some of the other elite brands get, I dont ever hear anyone saying anything bad about the RRA uppers. I just bought one during their sale. They said 6-8 weeks, but its been barely two and arrived today.

YHM gas block/flip sight with Ameriglo tritium FSP
    Promag flip up rear

Rail looks long as hell because a, it's a middy, and b, I don't have an optic for it yet. :dunno:

so between arms and YHM which rear BUIS would you go for?

Ive decided flip up is the way I want to go

I haven't made any decisions on the gas block or front sight yet.

I liked ARMS better, I only grabbed the Promag as an impulse buy at the local shop. Availability at a good price is one thing to consider.. since you'll probably be ordering multiple items, try to get them all at one place to keep from getting fucked on shipping.
