What is a good sling to get for my AR. I am looking for ideas and websites so I can check some out.

All I see are the tactical ones. I just want a normal sling.

I'm a recent convert to Blue Force Gear's Vickers sling. It's a very simple 2-point sling that is quickly adjustable and supportive like a 3-point but still about as KISS as you can get.

If you're looking for a $15 dollar range sling, check out the IDF slings, I've found them to be comfortable and handy.

It's a homemade 3-point sling, designed to keep the weapon hanging muzzle down over your chest and stomach when you let go of it.

It took no time at all to put it together. Not sure if maybe I messed something up or if I should have just used more material since I'm so tall, but the thing is kind of short. It's hard to transition the rifle to my shoulder with the stock fully extended.

I prefer my single point over the others I've tried. It's the most comfy to me. Only time it sucked was when I tried to go backpacking/varminting with it. We had to hike and the rifle got in the way sometimes when i needed to support myself to trees and whatnot.
