I'm getting an Apple wireless keyboard soon. Trying to decide if I want the one with the keypad or not. I guess it really isn't necessary. Plus it would be nice to have a smaller keyboard whenever I want to hookup my laptop to the TV.

Which did you guys buy? How long do batteries last?

Same. I change mine once or twice a year, and I've never turned the keyboard off before.

No keyboard is better for ergonomics and touch typing as the mouse is going to be much closer to the main area of they keyboard.

You can't get a wireless one with the numeric pad. only the wired one has that option.

I have the mini and love it. I have no real need for a number pad however as I don't do a lot of numeric entering of data.

The old wireless ones have a number pad. I like using the number pad on my imacs but I ordered my 27 with a wireless one, since I have three keyboards with the num pad right now and I can swap it if I need to.

I don't know how you guys could live without a numeric keypad. I use it all the time when touch-typing in large sets of figures.
