Here are reports for the end of 2004....so I'd say in that range probably slightly higher..maybe add 3% for 2005 then 3% for 06 and that'll be about what you can expect. Wages didnt go up and they were already overpaying so I can't imagine they added that much...plus it depends where you are and what kind of scores you get on the tests.

Apple Retail Salary Ranges for Fiscal Year 2004 - Hourly Pay Rates

Comp Plan 1 covers "Top Markets" and is 12% above Apple's "National Average" scale. Comp Plan 1 has the following Min, Mid, and Max hourly pay rates: for the Assistant Store Manager (grade 509), 19.38, 24.23, and 29.08; for the Technical Support Specialist II (grade 503), 17.23, 21.54, and 25.85; for the Technical Support Specialist I and Theater Coordinator (grade 502), 15.08, 18.85, and 22.62; for the Mac Specialist II and Keyholder (grade 501), 8.25, 10.30, and 12.40; for the Mac Specialist I, Inventory Specialist, and Loss Prevention Associate (grade 500), 7.20, 9.00, and 10.80.

Comp Plan 2 covers "Major Metro" and is 8% above Apple's "National Average" scale. Comp Plan 2 has the following Min, Mid, and Max hourly pay rates: for the Assistant Store Manager, 18.69, 23.37, and 28.04; for the Technical Support Specialist II, 16.62, 20.77, and 24.92; for the Technical Support Specialist I and Theater Coordinator, 14.54, 18.17, and 21.81; for the Mac Specialist II and Keyholder, 8.00, 10.00, and 12.00; for the Mac Specialist I, Inventory Specialist, and Loss Prevention Associate, 7.00, 8.65, and 10.50.

Comp Plan 3 covers the "National Average" scale. Comp Plan 3 has the following Min, Mid, and Max hourly pay rates: for the Assistant Store Manager, 17.31, 21.63, and 25.96; for the Technical Support Specialist II, 15.38, 19.23, and 23.08; for the Technical Support Specialist I and Theater Coordinator, 13.46, 16.83, and 20.19; for the Mac Specialist II and Keyholder, 7.35, 9.20, and 11.00; for the Mac Specialist I, Inventory Specialist, and Loss Prevention Associate, 6.40, 8.00, and 9.60.

Ok, so they finally called me and offered me the job (after 2 months, 2 interviews, and an extensive background check :eek3: )

Part time $8/hour w/ discounts (like 25% off macs/ipods, 15% off everything else)

Told them I was moving to OT City in May (recently got a "career" job offer), so they told me to gtfo

During one of the interviews, they told me they were looking to hire part timers that wanted a career with Apple Retail... I was like :ugh:, I just want a part time job...

And the interviewer/manager, very flaming as usual

They expect you to make that back by selling friends stolen merch or hocking your discount for a few bucks.

Well, you start off as a part-timer, then you eventually work full-time for more moneys BUT I didn't really go to college so I could have a career in retail :hsugh:

I wouldn't have a damn dime if they did. I have been traveling to Lennox mall to get my fix and seem perfectly willing to leave my cozy stay on Signal Mtn to make the trip without thinking twice when I wanna go browse.

Yeah i applied there to when i herd its pay ($9 over here btw,IL) so i figure it's like bestbuy, etc... when i told them i would most likely need to trasnfer (if the option exists) or quit after a year, they said they were looking more for people who wanted to stay with the company as their career. I kind of gave them the "wtf" look and thanked them for their time...
