    Hey guys,
I was thinking of applying at two apple stores. They are both pretty big apple stores, and i think i would have a fun time working there, i recently got into the mac world (6 months ago) and i love convincing people to switch, explaining how things work, and etc...

I am a supervisor at my current job though, although i don't like it all that much, i do like the privileges that i get from it. I get paid a crappy $7.50, so what i am wondering is how much to apple retail employee's make? If it's at least not $8.00-$8.50, it probably isn't to smart of a move to switch jobs.

    Thank You,
I know apple is somewhat strict on what you can say, so i'm hoping that just listing what apple typically starts people out isn't that big of a deal. =)

I imagine you can get $8.50 an hour, at least.

you're a supervisor and only make $7.50 at your job? do you work in the fast food industry or is your title a joke?

Shit, as a supervisor I was making $15.30/hour.

and starting pay will depend on the area but Peyomp's assessment is pretty accurate.

 I work at a movie theather, and as i am sure you know, it means shitty pay. I am promised manager in the summer if i decide to come and work back (i work summer and winterbreak) which starts at $9.50, but the problem is, they require long hours at night, so from 5pm-2 or 3ish am. I will also be taking summer school, so i really can not afford to work those hours and get irregular sleep and such. So i am trying to find another job, if i can't, than i will try for the manager, but like the obvious, money is really not all that great.

i worked as a mac specialist at an apple store. the job was enjoyable enough, but the pay was miserable and it was a struggle to get 30 hours a week. that means no benefits. would be fun as a side job, but its not a good source of primary income. if you do it, make sure you're getting a full time position.

i do tech support for apple now, for nearly the double the pay, full benefits, 40 hrs / week + OT if i want it...etc

send me an IM at robwormald, i'm happy to talk about my apple store experince :)
